Careers

Join our team

Founded in 1972, the Asian Law Caucus is the nation’s first legal and civil rights organization serving low-income Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities. Since then, we have litigated high-profile civil rights cases, advocated for the passage of landmark policy changes, and provided community education, direct client representation, and more, to further the rights of low-income immigrants and communities of color.

Our growing staff works collaboratively across six issue areas. We are rooted in the communities we serve and advance legal, policy, and strategic campaigns informed by those relationships. As a team, we strive to be courageous and collaborative in long-term work to reimagine the status quo and drive systemic change.

Our main office is in the Bay Area, a hub of the Asian American rights movements and social justice activism. Our location in San Francisco Chinatown is the first mixed-use, affordable housing co-op in the city, serving as a model for preserving affordable housing in the city and protecting tenants’ rights. Our staff work with partners in California and states across the country.
