San Francisco Eviction Protections Starting July 1, 2022
Starting July 1, 2022, San Francisco’s local eviction protections went into effect, protecting more tenants from eviction during the pandemic.
The local protections mean that:
- Landlords are prohibited from evicting residential tenants for nonpayment of rent that came due on or after July 1, 2022 and was not paid due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (Note: this rule does not protect tenants against eviction if the rent owed was due prior to July 1, 2022 but you may be protected if you applied for the state relief for prior months)
- Landlords are prohibited from imposing late fees or penalties on rent that came due on or after July 1, 2022.
- Landlords can seek to collect rent through civil court, but they cannot evict for it.
These protections will continue until the Mayor terminates the city’s COVID-19 Emergency Proclamation. If you receive an eviction notice, contact the Eviction Defense Collaborative to get help at (415) 659-9184 or [email protected].

三藩市迫遷保障從7月1號2022年開始
從7月1號2022年開始三藩市逼遷保障開始生效,保護更多住戶在疫情內被迫遷 。
當地保障是以下的意思:
- 屋主不能逼遷住戶因為住戶不能夠給租金從7月1號2022年或之後因為是疫情的關係。( 這個保障不能保護住戶的逼遷如果租金是7月1號2022年之前沒有給屋主 。但是你或者可以受到保障如果你以前已經申請加州寬慰)
- 屋主不可以索取遲交費用或者罰款如果你的租金是在7月1號2022年或之後到期。
- 屋主可以在民事法庭撒上租金但是他們不可以逼遷。
